Overview of the bottom floor. Blue/white crock churn is by Vernon pottery (period is later, but I thought it too pretty not to include).

Top shelf: Plates from Vernon Pottery; second shelf: Jug by Craig Roberts (The Hairy Potter), tankard I picked up in Germany; bottom shelf: Pitcher by Craig Roberts, oranges in bowl by me, eggs in basket I found in boxes I purchased; Shelf beneath: pumpkin and apples in basket by me; woven wood basket purchased from Vernon Pottery

On the table: Salt cellar and caster, pewter plate, porringer were purchased about 20 years ago--the line was called "Williamsburg."Half-peeled orange by me.

Most of the furniture is House of Miniatures kits, bed dressed by me.

Imagine this cozy tavern somewhere in Boston, shortly after the Revolution.

I built this two-room house out of scrap wood.

  • Furniture is various kits, except ladder-back chairs, which I purchased in Hong Kong.
  • I made the fireplace from scratch, using 1/4" stripwood for bricks and 1/16" square for mortar.
  • Tavern is electified; lamps (by Claire Bell Brassworks) light.
